In a similar vain to what James mentioned, I worked in a small group that had an award called "The Handle." This was a bright red, plastic handle from an old snow shovel that had been nailed onto a wooden platform. The award came with a "spot cash" award and was proudly displayed in the cube or office of whomever was the most recent recipient. The actual Handle would periodically be relocated to the working space of the next person who had proven that "they had a handle on a challenging situation."
This is not a life sciences specific name... you might consider that one of the keys to successful science it to have "reproducible results." An award to encourage reproducible results in a challenging work situation might be the "Handle."
