The Role of the Total Rewards Professional in Workplace Crisis Management

Course

Be prepared for the worst-case scenario before it begins. As HR and Total Rewards Business Partners, we must prepare for every potential crisis: natural disasters, technological breaches, product tampering, cybercrime, espionage, management deceit or misconduct, workplace violence, sexual harassment, libelous rumors or terrorist attacks.

The headlines are full of business crises – from the Hawaii missile alert to the Starbucks discrimination incident to active shooter situations – and your organization must be ready to respond to the threats, and appropriately.

In this session, Amy Polefrone, head of HR Crisis Management for HR Strategy Group, and Donna Miracle-Canuel, Executive HR Consultant with HR Strategy Group, will help total rewards professionals in participating with the management team toward a proactive, thoughtful and thorough consideration of crises planning and management.

Attendees will:

  • Identify various types of workplace crises
  • Understand the roles, impacts, and expected contributions of the total rewards professional in crisis planning and during and following the crisis
  • Gain knowledge of best-practice advance-planning tools.
