We have re-envisioned the WorldatWork 2020 Total Rewards Conference & Exhibition and transformed it into the WorldatWork 2020 Total Resilience Virtual Conference and Exhibition, a dynamic virtual event spanning every Wednesday for nine weeks from July 8 to September 2 to address business and people challenges Total Rewards professionals are facing. This extended timeframe will enable our attendees and partners to engage, inspire, network and evolve together as we emerge from this crisis. Together, we can make a difference.

This is will be a one-of-a-kind virtual interactive learning extravaganza and we very much look forward to receiving your session proposals by May 15.

About the Event

The WorldatWork 2020 Total Resilience Virtual Conference & Exhibition is the Total Reward professional’s compass to navigate today’s challenging business climate. It will engage audiences every Wednesday for nine weeks from July 8 to September 2 featuring a mix of live and on-demand programming aimed to deliver leading-edge problem solving on the topics they need, when they need them. These dynamic sessions will bring pioneering thought leadership straight to their home or office in manageable increments. Attendees will hear from trusted experts and dynamic keynote speakers, enjoy interactive networking, visit the virtual exhibit hall and more.

This unique event will include:

  • 35+ content sessions focused on strengthening culture, rewards and workplace experiences
  • Five session options offered each Wednesday from July 8 to September 2
  • Access to recordings for future reference
  • Thought leadership from the profession’s innovators
  • Solutions, frameworks and ideas – ready to apply to current challenges
  • The chance to chat, interact and problem-solve with peers and experts

This will be a great way to bring Human Resources and Total Rewards teams together around the most crucial workplace issues.

Who attends?

This event will be ideal for mid- to leadership-level Total Rewards professionals, HR generalists and compensation and benefits specialists from around the world.

About the sessions:

The online event format will feature an engaging and cohesive audience experience, with short, powerful sessions (35-45 minutes) that are:

  • Innovative, inspiring and informative
  • Engaging – with two-way interaction
  • Unique – and not shared through other sources
  • Focused – keep to key points that are most important to the audience
  • Concise – solve important issues
  • Solutions-focused – with a tangible ‘takeaway’ (a framework, tool, survey, approach, tips/tricks, etc. that can be immediately applied)

Attendees will have the option to attend 27 live sessions, with a total of 40+ offerings. All will be recorded and available for registered participants on demand.

There will not be tracks, however session topic areas will include: Total Rewards, compensation, sales compensation, executive compensation, benefits, wellbeing, recognition, development, organization culture, workplace equity.

Successful proposals are based on a relevant topic, concept or idea, and not on products, services or proprietary information.

How does WorldatWork select content?

Our submission process is very competitive. We use a content advisory committee to review and score proposals and to determine selections based on the proposal and speaker priorities mentioned previously.

The learning objectives and session description that you provide are critical to the selection process. The committee relies on this information to understand exactly what will be delivered to attendees.

Speaker information is essential, to understand the speaking style, professional expertise and diversity of perspective that will be part of the session.

What are speaker expectations?

  • Create fresh, original, unique and current content aimed to solve today’s problems. Please no replays of webinars or other presentations.
  • Tailor messaging to address audience needs.  The event will utilize sign up questions to flag interests and all presenters will receive a copy.
  • Before you submit a proposal to speak, please make sure all speakers are available and holding the event dates/time on their calendars.
  • Attend presenter training/prep meetings and meet all deadlines.
  • Interact and network with attendees beyond your sessions – via chat rooms, networking lounges and other opportunities.
  • Absolutely no selling or lead generation in content sessions is allowed. But we feature a number of paid commercial spots to feature your organization and covey your message, if interested. Contact Dawn.Jeffers@worldatwork.org for more information about sponsorship.

What information will I be asked to include in my proposal?

  1. Session Title
  2. Learning Objectives – At the culmination of the session, what will attendees be able to do?
    • Must be participant-oriented, observable, and measurable.
    • Describe the skills, knowledge and/or learning outcomes attendees will gain.
    • Is the attendee going to leave this session knowing something they didn't know when they walked in? Are they learning or being inspired?
  3. Session Short description: The business problem, how it’s best solved, the impact and what the attendees will learn. Think of this as the “marketing summary” that would be used to promote the session to potential attendees.
  4. Presenter(s) Information
    • Limit to three presenters
    • Contact information and names required for all presenters (cannot accommodate TBD)
    • Bios and headshots required
