Survey of WorldatWork Members by the WorldatWork Benefits Advisory Board


The WorldatWork Benefits Advisory Board, a group of volunteer leaders of the association who are also practitioners in the field, conceptualized and drafted the Employee Benefits Accountability and Consumerism survey and analyzed the results that appear in the following report.

Results Summary

  • It appears that employees are becoming more aware of employee benefit issues and consumerism.
  • The focus on consumerism has taken many forms.
  • Organizations are also emphasizing consumer behavior in retirement benefit programs.
  • While more than 70% of respondents indicate that they do not currently offer a CDHP, respondents indicate a significant increase in health promotion and wellness initiatives.
  • As benefit costs have continued to grow, particularly health-care costs, benefit issues have been a more important issue to the executive suite and HR leaders are being held accountable for managing this challenge.
