Short-term, cash incentives continue to be popular motivational tools at U.S. privately owned companies, nonproﬁts and government organizations, according to recent research conducted by WorldatWork and Vivient Consulting.

The research was conducted through an online survey distributed to a sample of WorldatWork members late in 2017. Approximately 215 private, for-proﬁt companies responded to the survey, as did more than 110 nonproﬁt and government organizations.
