Scott Cawood
Chief Executive Officer
Ed.D., CCP, GRP, CSCP, CBP

Scott Cawood, CEO of WorldatWork since 2015, has spent his entire career working to answer a very specific question: How can we make work―and workplaces―better? Cawood’s passion for the workplace and how it functions (or not) inspired him to earn degrees in organizational communication, labor and industrial relations, education, and a doctorate degree in organization- and work-based learning. Unsurprisingly, he’s forged these disciplines into a singular passion for organizations dedicated to great work. A renowned speaker and presenter, his second book—titled The New Work Exchange: Embracing the Future by Putting Employees First—was published in 2023 and quickly became a bestseller on Amazon.

Prior to joining WorldatWork, he was the global leader for organizational effectiveness at W.L. Gore & Associates Inc., a global manufacturer with more than 10,000 employees. At Gore, he led the organizational efforts to achieve an enterprise strategy to maximize associate engagement and align culture with critical business priorities. He previously served as president of Synygy, a global compensation and sales software company, as well as in senior leadership positions at Revlon and the Great Place to Work Institute, which selects Fortune magazine's 100 Best Places to Work.
