Enhance your strategic insight, organizational influence, and communication effectiveness to ensure compensation programs have high impact.
To ensure the success of any Total Rewards strategy, it's essential that both employees and executives fully understand it. This course is designed to help you gain a comprehensive understanding of both internal and external business operations.
By delving into your company's functions, you'll gain valuable insights and develop a solid grasp of key finance concepts. Additionally, participants will acquire essential communication skills and learn how to design, develop, and implement effective Total Rewards communication plans. Equipped with this knowledge, you will be able to effectively inform, persuade, and motivate stakeholders. This will reinforce the effectiveness of the Total Rewards strategy and give your organization a competitive edge in talent acquisition.
After taking this course, you will understand:
- Key strategy and finance concepts encompassing goals and priorities, financial performance, and the competitive landscape.
- Skills required to effectively communicate and present compensation solutions to stakeholders and foster relationships critical to the success of compensation programs.
- How to proficiently consult with and influence stakeholders to make well-informed decisions.
- Constructive approaches for stress relief, effective communication, empathizing with others, and handling sensitive information.
- Problem-solving skills that enable you to deliver an agile, adaptive compensation strategy and devise creative and innovative solutions to challenges that emerge.
To complete this course, learners will need a working knowledge of material covered in prior CCP & GRP courses, including the WorldatWork Total Rewards model, compensation fundamentals of a Total Rewards strategy, labor regulations, base pay systems, variable pay programs, and market pricing.
Learners should plan to spend 15 hours in class and 15 hours on self-guided work. You must pass the required certification exam accompanying this course to acquire your CCP or GRP certification. A practice exam is provided within the course materials to test your readiness and help identify knowledge gaps where you might need additional study. This is the course equivalent of Business Acumen for Compensation Professionals (C8) and Strategic Communications in Total Rewards (T4/GR9).
Who Will Benefit?
This course is ideal for professionals pursuing their CCP and/or GRP designation and those who want to boost their business acumen and communication skills to effectively share Total Rewards strategies and programs with management and employees.
