In this course, you’ll learn how to design and manage effective programs for recognition, bonuses, and incentives that meet your organization’s goals by motivating employees to perform their best.
You will master:
- Common business strategies and how to align them with variable pay programs.
- The different types of pay plans—including incentive plans, bonus plans, and recognition plans—and how they work.
- Internal and external factors affecting variable pay.
- How to design variable pay within a compensation strategy, including funding and distributing plan earnings.
- How to implement, communicate, and evaluate variable pay and benefits pay.
To complete this course, learners will need to have working knowledge of the WorldatWork Total Rewards model, the Total Rewards Regulatory Landscape, and Designing and Managing Base Pay Systems – the first three recommended courses in the CCP and GRP series.
Learners should plan to spend 7.5 hours in class and 7.5 hours on self-guided work. To acquire your certification, you must successfully pass the required certification exam accompanying this course. A practice exam is provided within the course materials to test your readiness and help identify knowledge gaps where you might need additional study. This is the course equivalent of Variable Pay: Improving Performance with Variable Pay (C12/GR6).
