Alan is BetterComp's Co-Founder & CEO, with over 20 years in the world of compensation market pricing including executive roles at Salary.com, PayFactors and PayScale. Alan also prides himself on Wizard-level Excel skills.

Alan set upon building a better compensation solution by tapping into his 20 years of contacts in the comp space. His favorite part of the whole experience was hearing directly from customers what they wanted and then stepping back and designing a solution that addressed the common themes.

Ephraim Edelman
Partner, Head of Data Solutions at AON

Ephraim Edelman brings over two decades of experience at Aon, and now holds the position of Head of Data Solutions, North America and Global Radford Data Solutions.

He specializes in compensation consulting, product development, people leadership, and change management. Ephraim currently leads major global transformation initiatives within Aon's compensation data business and is focused on delivering more data and insights to help clients make better human capital decisions.

Heather M Ryan
Partner and Global Product Leader, Career at Mercer

Heather M Ryan is a Partner and the Global Product Leader of Mercer’s Career business vertical. Her specialty is building and delivering data and technology solutions to ensure companies are rewarding key skills and talent for the future of work. During her 13 years at Mercer, Heather has led product innovation and renovations, negotiated strategic partnerships with leading tech firms, and introduced new data solutions. Prior to joining Mercer, Heather worked for startups and HP/Agilent in software development, product management, sales, and sales consulting.

Heather holds an MBA from Massachusetts Institute of Technology Sloan School of Management, a master’s in computer science from the University of Colorado, and a bachelor’s in computer engineering from the University of Michigan.

Sambhav Rakyan
Global Business Leader, Rewards Data Intelligence at WTW

Sam is the Global Business Leader for WTW Rewards Data Intelligence practice, where he is responsible for creating the global vision, strategy and managing all WTW’s compensation surveys, databases and software businesses.

Overseeing the global business through active P&L management, strategic staffing, resource planning, change management and driving collaboration, harmonization, innovation and profitable growth across all regions.

He has been with the firm for close to 15 years. Prior to joining WTW, Sam was the regional manager for a multinational consulting company where he focused on managing client relationships and providing support in the form of data analytics and insights, job matching, and business development and brand building across the Asia Pacific region.

Sam holds an MBA in Finance & International Marketing from the Rochester Institute of Technology.

Yanina Koliren
Senior Client Partner at Korn Ferry

Yanina Koliren is a seasoned professional with a wealth of experience in the field of Human Capital bringing together compensation data and consulting. She is driven by her passion for innovation, and she constantly seeks out new ways to push boundaries and drive positive change. She strongly advocates for diversity and inclusion, recognizing the immense value that diverse perspectives bring to organizations.

Ms. Koliren is responsible for the strategy and revenue growth of KF Pay and Touchstone, Korn Ferry’s new executive compensation benchmarking platform that helps executive compensation teams gather data on compensation trends and ensure market competitiveness.

Previously, Ms. Koliren led the Compensation Data business for the firm on a global scale. Her experience in this role allowed her to develop a deep understanding of the complexities surrounding compensation strategies and data analysis.

In addition to her leadership roles, she also excelled as the Future of Work Research Lead, keeping her finger on the pulse of emerging trends and technologies that shape the future of the workforce. She has also been a recent speaker on workforce resiliency, attracting and retaining critical talent, and authored papers on the topic of the Future of Work.
