
Chris Crawford is Founder and CEO of Zayla Partners and brings more than 30 years of experience advising public, private, and nonprofit organizations on strategic compensation and corporate governance to the WorldatWork faculty. He is nationally recognized as an expert in the field, having worked with over 500 organizations over his consulting career. Since 2005, Chris has served as a WorldatWork faculty member, trainer, curriculum advisor, course author, and board consultant. His teaching focuses on executive compensation and variable pay design.
Chris has co-authored three books, served as a technical contributor to five others, and published more than 100 articles on compensation strategy, executive pay, and variable incentives. He has also served on advisory boards for private companies, a university college of business, and several nonprofit organizations.
Before founding Zayla Partners, he started and led Longnecker & Associates, a nationally recognized consulting firm that earned accolades including Best Places to Work in Texas (Texas Monthly), Top Consultancies in the U.S. (Consulting Magazine), and America’s Top Management Consultancies (Forbes).
