He has worked with multinational corporations, Fortune 500 companies and private organizations to design executive pay programs that align management and shareholder interests and effectively communicate company values and goals.
Over his career, Doug has advised boards and senior leaders on short- and long-term incentive design, employment contracts, change-in-control agreements, executive benefits, transaction-related pay, restructuring, director compensation and more. Many of his client relationships span more than a decade and involve ongoing advisory work with boards and compensation committees.
A frequent speaker and published author, Doug has appeared in The Economist, the Wall Street Journal, USA Today, and the New York Times. He earned a BS in Finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and an MM in Finance and Marketing from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. Doug is a Certified Executive Compensation Professional (CECP®) and a WorldatWork faculty member since 2014.
