
Doug Sayed is the Founder and Managing Principal of Applied HR Strategies, Inc. (AHRS), a Seattle-based consulting firm serving primarily small to medium-size growth companies. With focus across the range of compensation and total rewards areas, the firm has particular expertise in working in technology, life sciences, healthcare, and medical device companies.
A WorldatWork faculty member since 2006, he brings more than 30 years of experience in HR and compensation, including 15 years in corporate roles prior to founding AHRS in 1999. Doug is a frequent speaker on compensation and Total Rewards topics, presenting across the Pacific Northwest and nationally for professional associations. He previously served as President and Board Member of the Northwest Compensation and Rewards Forum, a WorldatWork-affiliated network.
He is a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP®), Global Remuneration Professional (GRP®), and HRCI Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR). He holds a BS in Psychology and MS in Human Resource Management from The Ohio State University.
