Doug Sayed is founder and Managing Principal for Applied HR Strategies, Inc. (AHRS) a strategic total rewards consulting firm based in Seattle, WA area. Prior to founding AHRS in 1999, Doug spent 15 years doing HR and compensation work in the corporate world at the professional and executive levels. 

Doug is a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP®), who has also earned the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and Global Remuneration Professional (GRP®) designations. He earned a master’s degree in Human Resource Management from The Ohio State University, and then began his career in HR and compensation management. He is a faculty instructor for WorldatWork, the leading association of compensation/rewards professionals internationally, as well as a former board member and President of the Northwest Compensation and Rewards Forum, a WorldatWork affiliated network. He is a frequent speaker on compensation and rewards issues to professional groups in the Pacific Northwest, and nationally for WorldatWork.
