Fermin has a life-long commitment to the development of people and the HR profession with more than 40 years of experience in transforming people and organizations, centered around the theme “Implementing Strategy Through People”.

Fermin wears multiple hats and has gained teaching, research and “real world” experience as a business and HR Leader, Board Director and Advisor, University Professor, Author and Thought Leader in over 40 countries. He has published three books: ‘Human Capital and Global Business Strategy’, 'The Remuneration Handbook' and ‘Fundamentals of HR Analytics’ and was recently named a Top HR Influencer in Asia.

Fermin is a frequent speaker at regional and global fora on topics related to compensation, strategic HR, talent management and development, career planning, mergers and acquisitions from an HR perspective, building teams, global HR, education, public sector HR practices and HR Analytics.

He is academic adviser to TR2050, where he supports the creation of the future of pay models. He is a member of WorldatWork's Global Advisory Council.

As a business leader, Fermin has managed the P&L in several geographical locations and businesses. As an HR leader, he has been the Regional Head of HR for two large MNCs in AsiaPac/Middle East and Africa, and in Latin America. Currently Fermin is the Deputy CEO at Singapore’s National Council of Social Service, where he aims to improve the capability and capacity of the over 500 agencies in this sector.

Fermin is an avid audiophile, loves to play his guitar and enjoys running and trekking. He also llikes traveling to out-of-the-way locations, including Antarctica. He was born in Venezuela and has lived in 12 cities in 8 different countries.
