Bob Sanders brings decades of executive-level HR and compensation expertise to the WorldatWork classroom. Before his retirement, he was Executive Vice President of Global Human Resources at Centene Corporation, shaping workforce strategy for one of the nation’s leading healthcare enterprises over a 19-year career. There he led the enterprise-wide HR function and oversaw employee health clinics, on-site pharmacies, and cafeteria operations. He previously held compensation and benefits leadership roles at Peabody Energy, Mercantile Bank of St. Louis, and State Farm Insurance.
Today, Bob teaches Accounting and Finance for HR Professionals and Business Acumen for WorldatWork. He is also an instructor in Compensation Management in the Master’s in HR Management program at Washington University in St. Louis. He chairs the Compensation Committee of the Board at Provident Behavioral Health and previously led WorldatWork’s Benefits Advisory Council.
He holds a BS in Accounting from Millikin University and an MS in Human Resource Management from Washington University. He is a WorldatWork Certified Compensation Professional (CCP®) and a Certified Public Accountant.
