His research has appeared in many leading academic journals, such as Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Academy of Management Annals, Journal of Applied Psychology, Organization Science, Strategic Management Journal, Personnel Psychology, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes and American Psychologist, as well as in leading practitioner-oriented outlets such as The Journal of Total Rewards, Harvard Business Review and Compensation & Benefits Review.

He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Arkansas.
