Jean Horstman is the newly retired Senior Vice President – Global Compensation at Equifax, leading their Executive and Global Compensation functions. As the Executive Compensation leader, she actively supported and participated in the Board’s Compensation, Human Resources and Management Succession Committee meetings and directly supported the Senior Leadership Team. During her 17 years with Equifax, she also led the benefits, sales compensation and payroll functions.

Prior to joining Equifax, Jean was a Principal – Compensation with Southern Company in Atlanta, designing and supporting executive compensation programs and the Board’s Compensation Committee. Jean began her work in Executive Compensation while at Mercantile Bancorporation Inc. in St. Louis, MO. Prior to that, she held various positions in banking operations, including Assistant Controller of Mercantile Bank of Illinois and a Financial Reporting Officer for Mercantile Trust Company.

Jean earned a Master of Business Administration in Finance from Vanderbilt University and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Management from Purdue University. She is a Certified Public Accountant and has earned the WorldatWork Certified Compensation Professional® (CCP®) and Certified Benefits Professional® (CBP) designations.
