Lumi Serban is Director of Global HR Sales and M&C Compensation at LinkedIn, where she leads the strategy, design, and development of compensation programs in collaboration with business and HR partners. Her work focuses on building frameworks that support internal equity, external competitiveness, and strategic alignment with business goals.
With over a decade of experience across startups and global corporations, Lumi has managed and led compensation and Total Rewards at Veeam Software, Kellogg’s, Mondelēz International, and Danone. She is known for her expertise in the design, implementation, and communication of Total Rewards strategies, especially in leading change management initiatives tied to compensation design.
A faculty member with WorldatWork since 2024, Lumi brings a principles-based, strategic mindset to her teaching and consulting. She is a WorldatWork Canadian Certified Compensation Professional (CCCP®), Global Remuneration Professional (GRP®), Certified Sales Compensation Professional (CSCP®), and Certified Executive Compensation Professional (CECP®). She also holds the Senior Professional in Human Resources – International (SPHRi) credential from HRCI.
Lumi earned a BA in International Relations and an MS in Human Resources Management and Managerial Communication. She is currently completing a Business Communication Certificate from Harvard Extension School.
