
She is a professor at the Future of Work Institute at Curtin University in Australia. She earned her doctorate at the University of Rochester. Her research examines how organizations, through their structures, cultures, rewards, tasks and management, affect people’s motivational orientations toward their work, including volunteer work, and how quality of motivation influences performance and well-being in the workplace.
She has published her work in many academic journals, including the Journal of Management, Journal of Organizational Behavior, European Journal of Work and Organizational Psychology, Journal of Business and Psychology and Motivation and Emotion.
