Yvette is a results-oriented human resources leader with 30+ years of global human resources and academic experience, having worked for the transportation, aviation, pharmaceutical, secondary/higher education, retail, hospitality, county government and consumer goods industry. She has been a WorldatWork member since 1993 and received her CCP® in 1997.  Yvette is new to the WorldatWork faculty, but not new to teaching.  During her time in academia, primarily teaching math in inner-city schools, she was also an Assistant Athletic Director and Athletic Coach of volleyball, basketball and track where she honed her skills as a motivator and mentor, even founding a mentor group.  During that time she was also an adjunct instructor teaching the Compensation and Benefits Module for SHRM Certification.

While managing her own business, Yvette is also currently a full-time masters student at Howard University in the health administration program.  Throughout her corporate tenure, Yvette has been responsible for global mobility, performance management, executive and staff incentive design, and developing and managing company-wide pay practices and procedures. She possesses solid skills in employee advocacy, global team leadership, strategic planning, compensation administration, and transformational change management. Yvette has a record of launching innovative approaches to improve departmental efficiencies through planning, translating strategy into operational efficiency, and facilitation, with a passion for pay equity.  Her pursuit of a degree in Health administration speaks to her desire to pivot to a career more routed in servant leadership and advocacy in health care for people of color.

Yvette is a member of American Society for Healthcare HR Administration, American College of Healthcare Executives, Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and WorldatWork Total Rewards Association.  She is a founding board member of the Central Florida Compensation and Benefits Association and former member on the Board of the Greater Washington (DC) Employee Relocation Council.  Yvette received her BA in Spanish from the University of Michigan, MBA from Rutgers Business School and a Doctorate in Organizational Leadership/Human Resource Development from Nova Southeastern University.
