Reward Fairness and Equity

This study gathered information about organizations' perception of fair rewards and the tools that rewards professionals use to create reward programs, policies and structures. The study was conducted in March 2018 by WorldatWork with Dow Scott, Ph.D., of Loyola University Chicago and Korn Ferry.

Survey Results

To engage and motivate employees with different backgrounds, companies must build their rewards programs on a foundation of fairness. This survey reveals the status of rewards fairness and how organizations address questions of fairness. The study examines issues such as the top factors organizations use when determining rewards, the leading employee concerns related to internal and external equity, how frequently employees complain about their base pay, how men and women tend to view fairness according to different criteria and more.
