Faculty Members teach WorldatWork certification courses and educational offerings in public classrooms, through corporate assignments and online. They support WorldatWork’s mission by providing practitioners, via established course materials, with training and education to effectively design and implement strategies and practices in Total Rewards, including compensation, benefits, work-life, recognition and career development. This role may require domestic or international travel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver course materials using engaging and dynamic approaches.
  • Use professional and personal experiences to enhance written course materials.
  • Manage classroom, including time allocation and expectations of participants.
  • Communicate in advance with course sponsors to understand the specific needs and dynamics of the group.
  • Handle on-site administrative duties, as necessary.

Qualifications

  • Senior-level practitioner or consultant in the Total Rewards profession.
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in HR-related functions with increasing responsibility for strategic development, programs and functions.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Previous teaching/training experience preferred.
  • WorldatWork certification (CCP, CBP, GRP, WLCP, CSCP, CECP, ACCP, MCCP) preferred.

Training & Support

  • Course materials are provided by WorldatWork.
  • Ongoing coaching is provided by WorldatWork staff as needed.
  • On-site program coordination typically is provided.

Time Commitment (per course)

  • Audit the course to be taught.
  • Be available to teach an average of three two-day courses per year.
  • Have adequate preparation time prior to teaching.
  • Possible travel time.
  • associations with course attendees and other faculty members.
  • Gain professional development through a rewarding teaching experience and benefit from exposure to new practices and ideas.
  • Serve as WorldatWork ambassadors in the classroom and as subject matter experts behind the scenes.
  • Enjoy the prestige of being associated with a faculty appointment, extended to the instructor and their employer.
  • Receive WorldatWork assistance for faculty to achieve their professional designation (CCP, CBP, GRP, WLCP, CSCP, CECP, ACCP, MCCP). Teaching in the certification program also provides recertification credit for those who already have earned a designation.
