The Affiliate Advisory Council provides guidance and input to the affiliate leaders and serves as an advocate for human resources and rewards professionals and WorldatWork.
Affiliate Advisory Council Member
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain contact with affiliate leaders within assigned region at least once per quarter to promote new offers and campaigns, and share WorldatWork news as well as the latest benefits and services of affiliate programs.
- Communicate concerns, issues or new ideas back to WorldatWork.
- Identify and communicate the roles of associations and their leaders within the affiliate and WorldatWork to provide clarity and strengthen relationships.
- Build synergy between groups through conference calls, emails, the sharing of best practices, and the promotion of co-sponsored events and other association events.
- Participate in Affiliate Collaboration webcasts and Engage community discussions as appropriate.
- Identify at least one potential successor for the Leadership Council and help mentor and motivate potential successor(s).
- Help develop resources and tools for WorldatWork Affiliate Leaders.
- Help develop and attend the annual WorldatWork Affiliate Leaders’ Summit.
Qualifications
- Recommendation by WorldatWork leadership and/or peers is required.
- Senior-level practitioner or senior consultant in a total rewards profession.
- Experience in local HR association leadership.
- Thought leadership with professional experience in HR-related functions, with increasing responsibility for strategic development, programs and functions.
- Variety of industry experience, both as a specialist and generalist with experiences representative of association membership.
- Excellent communication skills.
- WorldatWork designation (CCP, CBP, GRP, CSCP, CECP) preferred.
Time Commitment
- Three-year term.
- Attend in-person Leadership Council strategy meeting. Typically, this is once per year in-person and held in conjunction with the Affiliate Leaders’ Summit.
- Participate in Leadership Council calls, as scheduled.
- Respond to requests, via email and phone, for feedback on a variety of items.
