Content Council Member

Content Council members serve as advocates for the profession and WorldatWork to help identify, articulate and prioritize issues, topics and challenges that affect the HR and total reward professions. Council members help WorldatWork better serve its customers and markets with best-in-class development, practices and product offerings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identifies, articulates and prioritizes issues, topics and challenges affecting organizations and HR professionals.
  • Identifies "best-in-class" developments within the appropriate context and the potential effects on the profession.
  • Assists the association to better understand its markets and customers and helps determine the best approaches to reach and engage key audiences.
  • Identifies other subject-matter experts and knowledge leaders who can support the organization in a variety of ways to expand WorldatWork's reach and influence.
  • Represents the interests of the profession and acts as an advocate for WorldatWork.
  • Assists to connect WorldatWork Council activity to WorldatWork's mission, strategy and objectives.
  • Participates in meetings, task teams and other activities to the fullest extent.
Qualifications
  • Recommendation by WorldatWork leadership and governance required.
  • Senior-level practitioner (director or higher) or senior consultant in HR or total rewards professions.
  • Thought leader with a minimum of 10 years of professional experience in HR-related functions, with increasing responsibility for strategic development, programs and functions.
  • Variety of industry experience, both as a specialist and generalist, with experience representative of the membership.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • WorldatWork designation (CCP, CBP, GRP, CSCP, CECP) preferred.
Time Commitment
  • Attend annual in-person WorldatWork Council meeting – typically once per year and usually held in conjunction with a WorldatWork conference or event. An additional meeting may be required.
  • Participate in WorldatWork Council virtual meetings (held 4-6 times per year).
  • Respond to requests for feedback and input on a variety of thought leadership information, such as research and surveys, articles, tools, etc.
