Speakers Bureau Member
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver a learning-centered presentation using engaging and dynamic approaches.
- Share deep subject knowledge, thought provoking perspective and relevant solutions.
- Utilize content tools (speaking notes, content sources, etc.) to support a successful delivery.
- Manage time allocation, audience engagement and participant questions during the session.
- Select members may be asked to support content creation needs. *
*Speaker Bureau members have the option to deliver pre-developed content or to contribute/create content for a presentation. Those who contribute content are asked to share their pre-presentation research, create presentation content and an outline of their scripted speaking notes so the presentation can be delivered by other professionals, globally. For those creating content, WorldatWork provides a content consultation, branded PowerPoint template for creation, and graphic design and copy editing services.
Qualifications (Selection Criteria)
- Experience speaking, presenting and teaching to large and diverse professional learning groups.
- Knowledgeable and experienced practitioner or consultant in the defined topic area.
- Ability to express concepts clearly, accurately and aligned with WorldatWork practices.
- If you have not presented at a WorldatWork event in the prior three years, a sample video is requested as an example of delivery style, engagement approach and topic knowledge. We suggest you record a 10-minute Zoom video in which you provide a personal introduction and summary of why this topic is critical to HR professionals, as well as the learning objectives that are important.
- Diverse perspective including experience in numerous industry sectors is preferred.
- This role may require domestic or international travel, with expenses paid by the sponsor.
Training/Support
- Consultation available with a WorldatWork content specialist to support your delivery.
- Assistance with all logistics and travel plans, as need.
- Technical training for the digital platform will be provided by the event sponsor. This includes use of the presentation, chat, breakout rooms and whiteboard functions.
- Access to digital learning by a professional speaker coach who can help you deliver your sessions with pizzazz.
