Nearly 1,600 rewards and HR professionals demonstrated the importance of networking, knowledge sharing and letting loose at this year’s WorldatWork Total Rewards Conference and Exhibition held at the Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center in Dallas.
The May event featured a host of sessions designed to educate and inspire those who reward and engage the workforce, opening with conference keynote speaker Josh Bersin emphasizing the need for organizations to convey a strong purpose and build cultures of development. It closed with bestselling author Ben Casnocha encouraging attendees to be entrepreneurial and “perpetually in progress,” or what he called in “permanent beta.”
The conference also closed on a high note. WorldatWork donated $1 every time attendees used #WAWGives in social media. In the end, the association cut a check for $5,000 to Achieve, a Dallas-area nonprofit that provides vocational training and job placement for adults with severe intellectual, physical and mental health disabilities.
