News reports began circulating on Tuesday afternoon, Jan. 28, that Trump fired two of the three Democratic members of the five-person agency, which enforces federal laws that make it illegal for employers to discriminate (in hiring, wages, benefits, promotions, etc.) against a job applicant or employee because of the person’s:
