EBRI Research: Many Participants Doing HSAs All Wrong
Only 15% of accountholders invested in assets other than cash.; EBRI found that, essentially, employees use HSAs as specialized checking accounts rather than investment accounts, and in doing so, miss out on the triple tax advantage available if they maximize contributions, minimize withdrawals and invest their balances.
