As was the case with gender, there is also a balanced pattern here ensuring a good representation: 26% are in an expert role (e.g., compensation and benefits expert, rewards specialist);33% are managers (e.g., compensation and benefits manager, rewards manager);41% are directors (e.g., head of compensation and benefits, rewards director).; Next to the hierarchical level, the survey also focused on how respondents perceive their role in real life, on a sliding scale from 1 (expert role) to 10 (managerial role).

Pay Transparency – The Employee Perspective
Respondents relied most heavily on employer sources of pay information, with 57% agreeing or strongly agreeing that they received their pay information from HR or a compensation department and 53% agreeing or strongly agreeing that they received their information from their supervisor or manager.
