
Anil Agarwal brings multifaceted industry and consulting experience across industries and sectors to the WorldatWork classroom. A faculty member since 2024, he shares with students his insider knowledge of company boards and the workings of compensation, risk, and audit committees, and has worked extensively with internal and external constituents, from the C-suite to the customer.
Currently, Anil is Head of the Total Rewards function for J&J’s Planned Consumer Health Company. Previously, he led compensation and benefits strategy for American Express, helping to bring the company through the 2010 financial crisis. Earlier in his career, Anil managed compensation modernization efforts for the Home Depot, guiding strategy and implementation for salaried and executive associates globally. He has also served as an executive compensation consultant at Hewitt Associates, advising high-profile clients on long-term incentive design and governance. Anil has also held roles at Arthur Andersen, The Todd Organization, and OPT Capital and is a WorldatWork Certified Executive Compensation Professional (CECP®).
