As Vice President of Human Resources at Southwest Research Institute, Tony Magaro leads initiatives across the HR spectrum with a special interest in the power of compensation to drive organizational performance. He views compensation as a strategic lever that connects and enhances virtually all areas of HR. He has expertise across all areas of HR including recruitment and employment, compensation, EEO/AAP, DEIB, employee development, benefits administration, work/life, wellness, and compliance.

Tony brings more than two decades of experience to the WorldatWork faculty, joining in 1999. He is active in regional nonprofit organizations that are focused on workforce development, has served as an HR Adjunct Professor and is a past coordinator of the San Antonio Compensation Association and member of the Resource Center for the San Antonio Human Resource Management Association.

He holds the WorldatWork Certified Compensation Professional (CCP®) and Global Remuneration Professional (GRP®) credentials from WorldatWork, as well as the HRCI Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credentials.
