Ken Wechsler, Vice President of Global Total Rewards at Akamai Technologies, leads the organization’s Total Rewards Center of Excellence. He oversees the strategic direction, design, and implementation of global compensation and benefits programs that align with enterprise priorities and support long-term business performance. He also serves on Akamai’s Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Expert Committee, contributing to the organization’s ESG initiatives. 

Prior to joining Akamai in 2022, Ken was Vice President of Total Rewards at DraftKings, where he established the company’s first integrated rewards function. Earlier, he was a Partner at Aon/Radford, advising boards, compensation committees, and executive teams on executive pay and rewards strategy.

A long-time contributor to the profession, Ken has taught WorldatWork courses as a faculty member since 1997. He holds a dual BA degree in Economics and Mathematics from Claremont McKenna College and is a WorldatWork Certified Compensation Professional (CCP®) and an HRCI Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR). He is a Board member of the Corporate Directors Forum, supporting board governance.
