For example: ;Custom orthotics may help reduce the risk of chronic knee or back pain, particularly among workers more likely to be on their feet most of the day;; ;Cancer-related voluntary benefit offerings may include risk screenings, genetic testing, oncology nurse advocates, clinical trial identification, precision treatment recommendations and support, or DNA-based recurrence monitoring; and,; ;Accident insurance, critical illness plans or hospital indemnity coverage can keep indirect costs not covered by a medical plan from spinning out of control.; Strategy, Technology and Communications If an organization brings in new talent with the promise of an attractive array of voluntary benefit offerings, but those workers immediately encounter a bumpy enrollment or utilization process, the employer may lose an edge in its retention goals, said Dani McCauley, the chief revenue officer of U.S. consumer benefit solutions at risk management and HR consulting firm Aon.
