Performing a Pay Equity Analysis

;
Create a more equitable, inclusive workplace by identifying and remediating unintended pay gaps in your organization.

It is essential for organizations to ensure their compensation programs are working as intended. This course provides specific knowledge, techniques, and tools to perform a pay equity analysis to expose any unintended pay gaps.

Performing a Pay Equity Analysis is a self-paced, interactive journey through the stages of a gender-based analysis, from establishing legal privilege and protection, through timing and conducting the analysis, to interpreting and summarizing the results. While it can be taken alone, we recommend combining it with WorldatWork’s other pay equity courses: Understanding Pay Equity and Committing to Pay Equity.

You’ll move at your own speed, utilizing data examples and Excel worksheets as well as “how to” videos that walk you through the application and techniques of analyzing data in your organization. Attendees will leave the course with greater ability to plan, execute and analyze pay equity at their organization and prepared to address any inequities that are uncovered.

Learning Outcomes

  • Identify the necessary team roles for conducting a gender-based pay equity analysis.
  • Determine appropriate data to use when analyzing pay equity factors.
  • Analyze pay equity data to determine remediation needs.
  • Describe possible next steps to address uncovered pay inequities.
  • Come away with valuable WorldatWork resources, including data examples, Excel worksheet templates, and pay analysis FAQs you can use in your own workplace.

Course Outline

  • Setting the Stage
  • Step 1: Establishing Legal Privilege and Protection
  • Step 2: Picking the Pay Equity Team and Selecting the Approach
  • Step 3: Timing the Analysis
  • Step 4: Conduct the Analysis
