A Pundit Called Gen Z ‘Unemployable.’ What’s Employers’ Response?
The lack of Gen Z readiness and alignment is a sentiment that’s only hardened since a 2024 study by education analysis company Intelligent.com found 1 in 6 hiring managers expressed reluctance to hire recent graduates, with three-quarters of survey respondents labeling some of all of their Gen Z college grad hires as “unsatisfactory.”

City of Phoenix Adds Paid Parental Leave to Employee Benefits The city of Phoenix recently announced that beginning on Oct. 1 it will provide eligible employees up to 480 hours (12 weeks) of paid leave for the birth, adoption or foster care placement of a child during a 12-month period.
