Compensation Staff Size: Finding the Sweet Spot
This technology, which may be embedded into the company’s core HR information system or take the form of built-for-purpose tools, tends to fall into four main categories, Reiman said: ;Market management tools used for benchmarking compensation data, developing competitive salary ranges, and understanding and using market data.; ;Cycle management tools used to manage decision processes, handle year-end comp reviews and manage equity.; ;Pay analytics tools used to assess compensation challenges, such as pay equity, and to evaluate potential changes to comp structures.; ;Pay communications tools used to create rewards statements, generate visual offer letters, and communicate comp information to employees.; Most organizations use one or two of these categories, with the first and second being most common, Reiman said.
